Scholarships

Every savings account for anyone 18 years and younger have an opportunity to be awarded a scholarship with every $5 deposit. A ticket is automatically generated for a scholarship drawing during our Annual Meeting each spring. Two $1,000 scholarships and one $2,000 grand prize scholarship will be awarded each year.

Memorial Scholarships

Our members who are currently seniors in high school pursuing higher education are eligible for our Memorial Scholarship. This scholarship is for $2,000.00, and a winner will be drawn for during our Annual Meeting each spring. A Memorial Scholarship Form must be completed by March 4, 2016.


Continuing Education Scholarships

Any member who has graduated high school and is currently wishing to continue their college education are eligible for our Continuing Education Scholarship. This scholarship is for $1,000.00, and two winners will be drawn during our Annual Meeting each spring. A Continuing Education Scholarship Form must be completed by March 4, 2016, and a minimum balance of $100 must remain in your account to remain eligible.


Quarterly Youth Scholarships

For the remaining year, we continue our scholarship awards by providing addition chances to win. Anyone 18 years and younger may be eligible for our Quarterly Youth Scholarship. Once a quarter with a deposit of $25 or more they may fill out a form for an entry for a $1,000.00 scholarship for the remaining summer, fall, and winter seasons.


All scholarship applications except the Quarterly Youth Scholarship are due by Tuesday, March 7, 2017. Only one entry per member for the Continuing Education, Quarterly Youth and Memorial Scholarships. Only one entry is permitted each quarter for the Quarterly Youth Scholarship. Attendance is not required at the JCU Annual Meeting but is encouraged. Must be the main account holder to qualify for the Continuing Education and Memorial Scholarships. Youth Scholarships do not require a form. All $5 deposits for the youth scholarship that occurred in 2016 will count for the 2017 scholarship drawing.
